Applications & Data Specialist

Rochester, NY (FTS HQ)

The FTS Applications & Data Specialist is truly a functional trailblazer, a continuous learner, and an integral member of the FTS team. Building relationships and providing premium-level service to all stakeholders is absolutely required. The individual in this position will get hands-on experience across a range of data processes by working through the entire data journey. The focus will be on data collection strategy and how it impacts all internal stakeholders from team operational processes to final data output. Duties and Responsibilities

Individual Contributor Duties

Applications (45% of time)

  • Provide support to team as the subject matter expert on internal softwares including our CRM software, metric reporting software, and lead generation software
  • Understand the role applications play in operational and data processes
  • Make updates to software that enhance data collection strategy, internal operations and efficiency
  • Stay up to date on user experience, workflows and best practices in our softwares

Data (40% of time)

  • Develop and manage data processes to improve and enhace data quality
  • Monitor data processing performance by performing regular data quality reports
  • Compile, categorize, tabulate and verify information and data
  • Update and manage metrics in analytics and reporting platform
  • Conduct regular exploratory data analyses to scrutinize data
  • Identify trends and understand relationships among internal datasets
  • Prepare reoccuring and ad-hoc reports
  • Work closely with data analytics manager on analytics initiatives

Operations (15% of time)

  • Document application, operations and data procedures
  • Work closely with leadership on developing, implementing and managing operational processes with a focus on how it impacts data collection
  • Partner with Talent and Training Specialist to develop and manage the FTS Training and Development program is it relates to software and processes

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or related field
  • 1+ years of experience working in operations or with applications

Preferred Education/Experience

  • MBA with a focus or interest in data
  • Experience working with a CRM or databases

Language Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
